Baby Gift

My sister asked me make her a framed name collage like I did for her son Lincoln's birth. Her sister in law recently had a baby girl & she really wanted a more personal gift for her. Here is the baby's bedding and the inspiration I had to go on.

Here is the final result......

I'm pretty happy with the final result. I started with the bird paper as the base, then added the strip of  trees along the bottom. Stamped the letters on the white cardstock & matted them with different patterns from that line of paper. Added a few simple embellishments and was done in under 1 hr! Frame was purchased from Hobby Lobby in the baby decor area for about $7 this week on sale.

Ingredients:
Echo Park Paper Co.: Patterned Paper "Country Drive" line
La Petites from Hobby Lobby "Flowers Foam 3d Stickers"
Stampin Up: Letterpress alphabet stamps
Inks, Rhinestones, flower brad,
whisper white cardstock, & craft ink
Making Memories green star clip
Misc ribbon & colored circle paper clip

Have a great day!

My Baby Girl is going to be 7!

Wow how time flies... The youngest of my two daughters will be 7 on Saturday. I can't believe how fast they grow.

Here is the Birthday Card I created for her. I am also entering it into TGF Farm Fresh Challenge blog "By The Numbers" challenge. Thought is needed to be a little glitzy, so the big "7" is covered with glitter. The image is popped up with dimensionals. I used a Copic marker on a pearl to add dimension to the cherry on the cupcake. I also added a little zig zag stich with my sewing machine.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up card stock, Pretty in pink 5/8" satin ribbon item# 117289, Scalloped trim border item#118402, Scalloped trim corner item#118870, Basic Pearls item #119247, Stampin' dimensionals item# 104430
DCWV  "The Sweet Stack" with glitter
Martha Stewart Cupcake edge punch, & glitter from Michaels
Cricut Expression & Gypsy for Number 7
Dotted organza ribbon purchased at Walmart

My new Copic organizer/caddy!

I was at Sears this weekend and found this amazing PINK tool box for around $11.00. I thought it would be perfect to store my growing Copic marker collection. Handy enough to use around home, but really handy to travel with.
Four large pockets on the front, 2 mesh grey pockets on each side

I could fit (5) 36 color Copic marker boxes along the one side, Plus had room for my airbrushing tools and misc items along the other side.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Pixie Challenge "School is Cool"

This weeks Pixie Dust challenge is "School is Cool". Here is the card I created. Anyone who knows me, knows my favorite place to shop is Target! It has everything, right? So naturally I loved their back to school commercials with the Grade school teacher and music teacher. So I used the grade school teacher in my inspiration. She spoke & they listed all the supplies they were going to need for class this year. I thought it would be cute to list them around the image.

Ingredients:
Stampin Up textured cardstock & DSP, stickers (all are from a retired scrapbooking kit)
Stampin Up button
The Twinery twine in Maraschino
Martha Stewart for Michaels ABC123 border punch
Image "Pearl of Wisdom" printed on Neenah Solar White paper
Image colored with Copic Markers
White Signo gel pen for highlight accents

Thanks for stopping by!

1st Challenge "Old Photo" from Pixie Dust Studios

This is the 1st challenge I have ever done so bear with me. It is for the."Old Photo's" Pixie Dust Studio challenge this week. The image is Wild Sprout Ebony from the Greeting Farm. I colored the image with Copic markers W1, W3, W5, & W7. The base is basic black card stock from Stampin Up. The patterned paper is from the Immortal love paper pack from DCWV. I used spellbinders classic rectangles for my image & sentiment shapes along my Copic airbrushing system for some added dimension.  Sizzix skull & crossbones die for the skull. Silver cord was old retired stuff from SU & safety pins were from Queen & CO., just a couple of the gazillion things I have hoarded. I also sewed the underlayer on with my sewing machine. I think I have covered it all. Thanks for looking.

About time....

My bestie April (who has been blogging for a while now at mousekemom.blogspot.com) has been bugging me for quite a while to start doing card challenges with her. I have tons of rubber stamps, scrapbooking supplies, and gadgets. I guess I should start using them.
